2025 collection colour moodboards
It is a problem when designing clothes and a collection choosing your favourite fabrics and trying not to include all the ones I love! So I have been constantly working on different moodboards to find the right feel for colours working together, these will also help inform potential shoot ideas. All the fabrics in these moodboards will be colour options from the pieces I will launch in the 2025 collection.
I hope you love what you see! I won’t be able to shoot photos in every single colour straight away but the listings will detail the colour ways available.
Pastels
This beautifully soft and light palette features light slightly dusky blue (and soft nude not featured here as fabric hadn’t arrived!) sustainable organic cotton tulle dresses and skirts with matching tencel camisoles. The softest knit in mint, pink and white also made from Tencel also. Organic cotton lace trims on skirts and accessories and pastel colours organic cotton poplin for the twirliest skirts.
Colour pop
The blue organic cotton tulle features again in this palette as it works so well with the hot red or bright pink to balance the scheme. Or you could radiate in a red and pink palette. I plan to combine the red and pink also to create a 2 coloured piece and some other combos for a party wear collection.
The organic cotton poplin features in skirts in emerald, hot pink and soft pink and I have some vintage emerald green rick rack which I hope to have some fun with creating one off pieces. It might be fabulous as a trim against that hot pink.
The pink lace featured here is also vintage and so there will be a few limited edition pieces with the organic cotton pink tulle, it was super lucky they are a great colour match!
I threw in a dash of yellow here for a lively scheme. As I write I haven’t actually ordered the yellow tulle as I wasn’t going to use it but when I did this moodboard I realised it needed this addition. As luck would have it I also have some yellow vintage lace.
I was planning on adding the vintage lace to bodices but I’m wondering if I could made some cute jacket type thing instead. I’ll be having a play!
Pastels with pop
Featuring some of the colours from the other palettes with the addition of this stunning deep green. It is really lush and luxurious feeling. I’m thinking floaty veils against a bold pink skirt. The mint tencel knit jumper against that deep green organic cotton poplin skirt would be a real wow.
Dusky earth
I have taken the whites out here and added in creams from organic cotton fabric and vintage cotton lace. A slightly softer green than the poplin the green organic cotton tulle with the dusky pink organic cotton tulle gives woodland fairy inspired wedding vibes. I also would add the soft nude tulle dress into this collection (the one I don’t have the fabric for yet!). A dash of burgundy organic cotton poplin to stop the palette from feeling washed out and makes it feel a bit more luxurious. I love the idea of a mint tencel jumper against a burgundy skirt.
I hope you love all these ideas I have and I’m super excited to bring them to life, I cannot work fast enough!
